These are a silk undergarment for upper body called DUJIN, and silk undergarments for lower body called HAKAMA. These undergarments were for men, and they were worn for ceremonies. Only royal family members and upper-class warrior families were allowed to wear them. The sleeves of DUJIN are longer than usual, and these undergarments were worn when the king wore TOUISHOU (king's ceremonial costume gifted by the Chinese emperor).
