Costume in BINGATA dyeing.

This is the ancestral BINGATA-dyed costume of the Sho royal family. The design depicts flying cranes and auspicious patterns including pine trees, bamboo and plum blossoms. A soft pongee was used for this costume, and only high ranking people were allowed to wear it.
